Description of the Ammonium Nitrate Exploding Target Company Uses:

We at the Exploding Target Company buy our AN from a Type 20 licensed Explosives MFR that handles many different types of Explosives. The prills are low-density Industrial Grade with a size of no greater than 5 mg/m3. (That means very small!!) The prills are all the same size by looking at them with the naked eye. This stuff is about 5 times the price of Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer that by looking at it you can see a lot of difference in the size of the prills. Most Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer is kept in stockpiles in sheds making it more prone to absorbing moisture. Where as Explosives Grade AN is kept in Silos or Bins that are water tight and the only air that is in the bin is what is in it when the lid is shut.

As for the blend of fuel we use we do not disclose the ratio or chemicals used in the fuel. As for the primary component it is custom milled to our specifications down to 1 micron. The other components are added by their respective percentages by weight.

Every target is weighed on a digital scale with the accuracy of .01/gm. The same as for the fuel mixture. Every target we send out has the exact same weight as the last one down to the gram. Here at Exploding Target Company we measure everything for you and provide it in separate air tight freezer bags. We don't expect the customer to measure by a volume method or even weigh his/her own. We measure for you so IT IS RIGHT EVERY SINGLE TIME. Making your experience with our targets the best it can possibly be. Just try one, you will be back.
